is a 260litre/70 Gallon big enough for a solo Red Devil/Midas/Midevil and maybe a Gibbi Plec?

I read that the smaller tank (within reason) the more personality you get out of your wet pet because it has less territory and trys to defend out side of the tank/hence becoming a glass banger, is this true?

My Devil is currently in a 4x2x2 but i would prefer to have him in my living room tank (a 260L)

Mine is 7" and lives alone in a 75gal. He has plenty of room now but he's growing fast. I'm sure that his 75 will hold him quite comfortably for a while. But if mine does get too large, I will gladly make the appropriate upgrade. If he keeps growing at this rate I will definitely have to get another tank. They tend to slow down their growth as they get older though. So I think you will be fine for some time. If things get too tight down the road then get something larger.

He is around 7" now, i just put him in there and he looks a bit lost lol so plenty of growing room.

Should be fine!

What dimensions are the 70g?

The plec will be hit or miss, and they can be killed SO quickly because they're slow and vulnerable. If your purpose for the plec is algae control, I'd skip the plec and get a MagFloat. Plecos just add to the waste, and I would never have trusted any of the four devils I raised to tolerate a pleco.

skip the pleco..but a 70G should be good for a bit with any of those 3..

as long as the tank is 18" wide it should be fine.

they have big personalities regardless of tank size. I personally like putting them solo a 48x18 print (75g or 90g) tanks.
