i have a 55 gal and my dad decided to let me get a bigger tank but i cant get anything too heavy for my floor. i live in a mobilhome yr. 96 i think a 90 gal could do but wat do u guys think

I know someone with a 220, 200, 120, 90, and a 75 that lives in a trailer.

im looking for a legit website that i can show my dad so i can start looking for one

hey i have a 120 gal tank in my mobilhome and I my house is about 5 years older than yours. all I did was put some cinder blocks under my house where my tank sits just in case it did bother it. but the first month i checked my tank with a 4 foot level every day and it hasn't moved one bit. I wouldn't be afraid to just go ahead and set up a tank without setting up the supports under the floor these houses are stronger than you would think. I heard that a tank that size would be about the weight as a fully stocked freezer but it would have more weight distrubution. I hope this helps you out. just my two cents.

thanx ssd hopefully my dad lets me get a 90 gal bc i dont want to risk heavier

definitely use supports why risk the floor collapsing. you don't want to find out by accident you have a defective floor structure. better safe than sorry. good luck! so you going to sleep in a smaller bed?!!

i have been keeping a 55 gal for like year now and nothing has happend so im guessing its strong haha

but adding another 35gal or 280lbs (total of 700+ lbs) could be the straw that breaks the camel's back, ha ha, splish splash I was taking a bath, alone on a saturday nite. not what you want to be singing. ask your dad if he remembers these lyrics. but what da hey! if the floor holds now, of course it only makes perfect sense you can increase the load another 20% w/o any extra undue stress on the floor. IMO

ill probably see if i can put supports under my room where the tank is going to be to be sure .. is there any mfkers with big tanks in their mobilehomes
