I just purchased a Fluval 405. I noticed under this forum when i checked the equipment thread seems most people have Eihiems. Is anyone familiar with the Fluvals. My tank is only a 45 gallon I plan on getting 3-4 red bellies then will move them once they get bigger. But will a Fluval 405 be enough to filter this?? Right now just have 1 electric blue dempsey in their he will be moved before the red bellies come : )

thanks a lot i wanted to play it safe. At first someone said get the 305 and then i was just like might as well get the 405 and not worry. Thanks again for the help

405 can filter up to 70 gal i think! more than enough for you tank! should be crispy clean make sure you get som polishing pads it really helps make the water clear!

they're actually rated for closer to 100 gallons. Which is nice because I hear that piranhas like a fast flow.
