This might be a stupid question... but oh well. The other day i saw a small lizard in my backyard, and for some reason i thought about catching it and feeding it to my Silver :naughty:! So im wondering if it would be ok to feed my Silver a Lizard.
I've seen videos of aro's being fed frogs, centipede, mice.. etc. But just curious about lizards!

They a lot of lizards...small snakes and even birds in the wild so I doubt it'll hurt it. On the other hand you can definatly provide a better diet so unless you simply like watching such things I'd recomend leaving the poor creature alone.

Should be ok...

Only concern might be that the lizards main diet are insects that might have pesticides within them. Another thing you could do is keep the lizard in a small container and gutload it with some healthy vitamin filled crickets for awhile.

The other day my aro went nuts over a praying mantis I threw into the tank!

Someone post up a feeding of a lizard i want to see lol. Mine is too small to even consider anything that can harm it.

Cool! Did you catch the praying mantis or you bought it?

The lizard could injure the arowana with it's claws and teeth so do keep that in mind. Also make sure you have the species of lizard identified before you use it as food. For all you know it could be a protected species. It's important to have a proper ID on any animal before you utilize it.
