I picked up a new tank, 6' x 2', i believe a 220 gallon

are there rays small enough to fit in a tank this size?

ive read some stay like 10-14'' disks but i wasnt sure if they would be comfortable in a tank that size..

Any advice is appreciated.

For a long time, but probably not for life..

The smaller species of rays are a bit harder to obtain due to export restrictions.. A reticulated stingray stays fairly small and could be a good choice.. but be aware they can be finicky eaters and not as hardy as the larger motoro rays.

agree.... most rays will need a slightly larger foot print... and the true small disk rays hystrix and scobina are very expensive....

Some one is selling hystix and scobinas in the buy/sell if you dont mind spending about 1500 for a pair.
