Evening all, im just wondering if there has been any success crossing scobina with other types.

This may be one of the only rays I haven't seen crossed so was just curious.

Many thanks

Should be possible for sure. But I have never seen a single example. Seems most people who keep scobina keep the lines pure. Although I don't cross breeds at this point either, it would be cool to see if someone does cross them.

I hope they keep them pure!

We as hobbyist should stop trying to create all these hybrids

I was just curious as I keep a mixed tank and haven't stuck to one type although I'm swapping my scobina for another pearl in a few weeks but was curious really as I've not seen it.

One thing I have noticed is my scobina is the most aggressive in the tank.
Maybe they aren't easily crossed

Could be something to do with the small population of scobina in captivity. Also due to their small size they are often kept in same type specific tanks. They won’t compete well with mature larger rays.
