Hi i saidly just lost one of my precious festae fry i got in nov this morning :( A couple days ago (2) iduring feeding i noticed he/she was eating and barely moving by the filter. It was fat and it's mouth seemed to be off it was open constantly and seemed to be sticking out like if it was holding a big piece of food. Anyways it was fatter then the other 4 festae and they had just finished eating. So i took it out and all i had was a breederbox attached to the same tank so i put it in there and watched it it was swimming around still fat and breathing heavy and today it's dead :( so now im worried about the other fish in the tank i assume it bloat but is it contagious? Are the other fish at risk! Also just some info he was about ~1.5"

bloat is more a symptom then a legitimate disease from what i know. Many things can cause it, If the water and food are poor quality then there is no reason your others should be immune, but if it was something else then it might not be contagious. Make sure your water is pristine to limit it

Hello; in case it is constipation, I feed my fish uncooked canned peas from time to time. Many have reported the peas to help relieve this. I think all my fish have taken them , some eagerly. Just squeeze the insides out of the skin for smaller fish.

@wantokeeptrout thanks its more settling my water is good the parameters are good and i do weekly water changes and this was the first bad sign in the tank and its been up for 4 months.

@skjl47I'm still not too sure what the cause was i'm thinking it must've been constipation since it happened so rapidly. I read the pea think but my fish is so little, pretty sure a pea would be too big but sadly it's dead already so can't try anything now :(

Here's my baby :(:(:(
