Hi guys, i was thinking about getting my flowerhorn a female as a tank mate, then i got to thinking, what the hell would i do with all the fry? and supposedly from what i understand the mate quite often, i am willing to set up a third tank for fry, so my question is , what do u guys do with the fry??? is even worth it??? right now im thinking its irresponsible to even mate your fish if u are not dedicated to do something with the fry, and since i cant use them as feeders, since i have no other fish, i don't see what the point is........??

Bump for an update.

As I understand, many FHs are infertile so if an odd breeding occurs Id consider it luck and find a way to bring them up.

mostly male kamfa flowerhorns or anything mixed with parrots have a higher possibility of being infertile. so dont get anything with kamfa in the name unless they have been proven fertile. Use a male red dragon, malau, kamalau, golden monkey, or proven flame for breeding. Those are almost always fertile.
