I got some large cedar driftwood pieces from Ebay.

The guy said they were heated to 250 degrees and cleaned with a wire brush.

But i've seen a couple things saying Cedar is toxic??????

It's been in a bin soaking for a month on my patio.
It still hasn't sunk.
Its absorbed some water and is a little water logged, but still isnt sunk.

Anyone know if Cedar is ok to use?

Yeah i would say that as long as it is dead it should be fine, i know being from a logging town and having alot of cedar around that live cedar is toxic even to humans if u are around it enough u will start to build up an allergy to it and can develope styes (sp.)

I agree, cedar is one of those woods that survives well outdoors without a finish, it works well for outdoor furniture and decks. Its naturally rot and insect resistant. Unless you can confirm the source and are sure its been long dead, I would avoid it for an aquarium.
