is cooked shrimp ok to feed?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Agreed, but they have a higher salt content. Nutritional value is lost in the cooking process, so you are feeding just to fill their bellies.

I use market shrimp along with a variaty of other food but all of it is raw and you need a good mix. No one thing is going to be good enough in the long run IMO.

Cooked as in boiled ? o.k.
Cooked as in deep fried heat and eat ? not o.k.
I use frozen/thawed on occasion, just cut them to the size you want/need.
'Course, in my case, most of them go to MY belly with some cocktail sauce chased with a swig of beer, and the fish get the fish food. :D:D

Cooked are okay, unless spiced, but raw is better. Even better is raw, still in the shell, if your fish are of a type to be able to handle it, just break or cut off the rostrum (pointy nose) before using.
