I am looking for a material to separate my sump's (Home made from a 55 gallon tank into 3 chambers #1 intake chamber, #2 refugium and #3return chamber for heat and pumps) and Home depot has screen door material which size wise will work perfect for my purposes but it says it's fiberglass (It feels like vinyl?).

It's the typical modern black screen door replacement material bought on a roll. Is this "fiberglass" stuff safe to rinse and submerge in freshwater aquaria?

I have used it to seal tops in the past but never submerged it. I don't see how it'd be toxic but I want to be sure as none of my tank's inhabitants are expendable to me.

TIA!

Yes, fiberglass window screening is fine to use in the aquarium.

A sump usually has glass or plexiglass dividers separating the chambers. Why did you want to use screening?

I want to use it as a divider in my sump to allow flow while keeping fry growing in the refugium from getting into the return pumps. Thanks
