is he "classic/vintage" strain of zz?

this is my 1st ever fh i've ever breed.i have had him for 8months now.since i bought him,ive been feeding him high quality kok and color ehnhancer foods.
do you think he is one of those 1st generation zz strain?come to think of it,i bought him from a breeder/pet store owner who still breeds and sell classic strains.hehe!..
here are some vids and photos....he barely has a kok,and yes "ugly" in terms of appearance..but i love this guy!he was the spark of my fh craze.:D

Your fish is nice, not "ugly". It has too many pearls to be an original strain of zz. They look much more like a trimac.

I agree. Newer zz strain maybe but not dull green trimac colored like a lot of old zz's. Would not have nearly as much pearling either.

actually,there is a petshop here who still sells 1st generation zz.the owner still breeds them and sells them for about $1..:)

thank you very much..bought him from a local breeder/lfs owner who still breeds them,and some do really look like trimacs.i'm planning to buy from him a pair with only one flower spot.:D...interesting for me.
 
BTW,when he was younger,his red was way better,but as he grows,it seems that red becomes darker.here is a photo of him when he was younger:
the red is more intense,it's just that the camera has low quality.

whoah!he is not a female!!haha! i breed him already 5 times...he is a very protective father in fact.
