my motoro has just started swimming into the bubbles and sometimes on top of the water, he only does it when the air bubbles are switched on.

he has been doing it for a day or two now and we have tested the water and everything is normal, would you say he has learnt a new trick or something is wrong?

heres a video of him (hope the link works!)

mine used to do that all the time....its normal they love to play in the bubbles...

yea, mine use to do that all the time when he was younger.... he doesnt do it anymore... he has a girlfriend to play with :naughty:

I think its funny that it goes between the two... that kind of tells u that its playing

Thats fine, my old rays use to play in the bubbles all of the time, just make sure when he is near the surface that the spiracles don't come out of the water because that's what mine did right before they died.

I was worried about my ray as well as she's been doing the same thing the past couple of days. From what I have read, I think she is playing in the bubbles as well. The male ray is staying put on the bottom, but he is swimming around normally. I hope my Jardini doesn't get too stressed out with her in his territory. The Jardini has been around the middle to lower regions lately. He is going to be moved in a few weeks when his new tank gets here and is cycled.

just havin fun
