Ive got a 7-8" Silve in a 4x2x2 with some dats we have now got a new 5x2x2 which should be running in a few days. Im thinking baout keeping him in the 5x2x2 which would allow my dats to grow quicker as they would get more food. Would this be a good move? This is the new tank:

nice tank Bruce... I cannot see a problem once you get the tank set up and all everything cycled ..i would expect him to stop eating a few days because he will be stressed .. but it would be good for him after awhile.. when he settles in.

Haha He should not be too hard to convince.. be careful moving him..have DAD around incase you need a little help.. soft {white net} so you don't scratch scales on the arow..the white nets are usually softer then the green nets.. good luck!
