is heater burn a problem with CLs?

I recently got rid of my sump so I've had to move my heater into my aquarium. I know clown loaches like to wedge themselves behind things, so has anyone had a problem with heater burn?

never had a problem... mine would chill between the heater and the glass and would move if they got too warm

Mine perch on top of the heater and have not gotten burned.

I have never had a problem with that. They need plenty of hiding places so they don't try and hide behind the heater.

If you're concerned with heater burn, why not get an external inline heater. It connects to the outlet line of your filter, if you have one. I like using an inline heater, to prevent heater burns, PLUS it is one less ugly equipment in the tank.

only had problems with titanium heaters. i now have marineland stealth

Never any problems.... Mine are in the sump and use the heater as cover.

Like everyone else stated, I have never had any issues with my clown loaches and heater burn.
