You may not know but I live in México and here Hikari food is really expensive.. it's 100 us dollars for the massivore delite (2.2 lbs) which ends up being more expensive to feed my fish than myself lol so i was looking for other diets, preferably things i could buy in a market like shrimp, fish, etc.. I'm currently feeding my oscars tetra chiclid or something like that. My aro is eating shrimp and crickets. My ornate bichir eats shrimp and fish, and my TSN is eating feeder fish (molly) and i suspect he's eating left over shrimp at night. So what do you think? Should i stay like this, go with 100 dollar bag of massivore or something else? Thank you.

If that is what they are getting for Hikari foods in your country, then yes it is overpriced and not worth it. Your fish will do fine on the diet you are currently feeding them.

Thank you! I guess I'll stick with the same diet.

I don't feed my fish that even though it about half price on petsolutions.com. You might want to use it as a supplement for your fish so they can get all the nutrients they need but it is a lot cheaper to feed them what you can buy at the food market like shrimps and other fish.

If your fish have been doing fine, that is growing well and healthy, then there is no reason to change it. Yes, Hikari may help them grow faster or bring out brighter colors but it is just not worth it at that price, especially since your fish are doing fine on their current diet.

I think it is. I use it as a staple. I give other stuff as treats as well, but mostly Hikari.

If I were you I would check to see if you can get a liquid vitamin to soak your food in or inject it. I think Boyds is a brand.
