It contains formaldehyde, methanol and malachite green. It says its safe for scaleless fish but I am looking for someone that has experience with this or knows how the rays might react.

If you have ich raise temp 82 and add salt no chemicals needed

What specific salinity do you raise it to, and do you use standard reef compatible salt(for a saltwater aquarium)?

Don't use salt water salt, use aquarium salt, or also you can use hard water softeners salt only the pure salt stuff though. I starred a thread asking people about salt options. ( one rounded table spoon per 5 gallons of water)

Here is what I use because I have a huge aquarium uploadfromtaptalk1358697151560.jpg

I dissolve it into water then add the salty water to the tank, vs having the salt strait in the tank, or in my case I also just throw it in my sump area to dissolve

Thanks! It worked great and knocked the ick off from my L-25!

The bag says "Harvested naturally from salt water", so is this salt derived from ocean water?
