is Iodine bad for fish?

once a fishkeeper told me never to put salt which has iodine. But he didn't tell me why? Does anyone knows about this? pls let me know why? Coz i did so.

Why would you add iodine? isn't there traces of iodine in fish or something? I don't know if you should do that, there may be propper fish meds to fix what ever problem you're having. *shrugs* I could be wrong though..
