Not a good idea. Dwarfs are more aggressive inch for inch when it comes to Crenicichla. you would have to have a LARGE tank, and even then not sure how well it would work, or for how long. Just pick one species, and getta pair...;)
 
yup, nasty little things. Get a group... they will thin themselfs out for you.

Get some, but still get a group, as they are relatively aggressive as well. Get large too...almost 10"...;). They definately aren't common though! ;)
 
I'd go with four to five to start, then let them pair up from there. Really don't know, never kept them. They are reportedly aggressive though, so you might even end up with a solo pike. Give it a try and let us know! ;) Definately shoot for a pair though!
