Is it black aro season?

Just a quick random question, is it black arowana season right now? I went to like 5 LFS in chinatown this weekend and they all had A LOT of black aros. One even had 10+ 10"ers in a tank.

I think they are as I got my wild caught black aro 2 years ago at around Feb. But their's a down side to this as wild caught black aro are hard to find in the wild. There are captive breed black aros already in Asia and they can just order from the all year. Cheaper price too.

Sorry I forgot about this thread. But pretty much all the LFS in chinatown are carrying black aros. FishTown in queens has em too.

of topic, but did you happen to see any chinese perch or barramundi while in those stores? i've been thinking of taking a trip up to NYC Chinatown from MD to find some, but need a scout up there first...
