Is this bloat? We noticed it last night where it looked like the belly was a bit larger, than tonight noticed a bit more bigger difference. Also hes been staying at the bottom and i also noticed that his breathing is heavier. While taking pictures though i think im noticing a bit of cloudy eye. Also i notice its food hasnt been touched. I just got back from the Lfs and got the meds and epson salt for it, but i just wanted to know if it was forsure bloat so i know im doing the right treatment.
I also have 2 filters and running now 2 airstones in the tank so there is plenty of oxygen.
Also ive been buying some new tanks and doing alot of changes and this poor guy has been in now its third and final tank.

Any suggestions?
Thankyou.

What are your water parameters right now? Isolate the fish in a hospital tank and fast for a few days. If on the 3rd to 4th day, the abdomen remains the same or has not improved, go with epsom salt bath to help expel the wastes that may remain trapped inside its GI tract.

Does it poop? How does the poop look?

Well i took the water into LFS last night and everything is fine, but they told me most likly because of the change in tanks who knows if something was wrong with the water in one of them. As of today he is now at the top somewhat swimming around but still breathing heavily and he does have poop hanging from him a little. Right now were doing a 50% water change and going to do the salt and metro....hopefully something works.

Did the 50% waterchange and did a full dose of metro and the full dose of epson salt. At first he went back to the bottom but is now back to the top, looks like it wants to stick its head right out of the water, it goes that close to the top. But he doesnt just stay in one spot hell houver from the middle to the top.

What do you normally feed him? and how much? EB's are prone to the infamous ''white stringy poop disease'' Like Lupin suggested, move him to a hospital tank and give him a salt bath.

Mix 2 1/2 cups of salt into a 10gallon bucket (dont forget a dechlorinator).
Place the fish into the bucket for 5-10 mins.
Monitor the fish closely. If any unusual behavior, remove him immediately.
Once the bath is done, place the fish back into the hospital tank. This can be repeated every 24hrs. Salt baths like this help relieve the digestive tract.

I would also medicate the tank. I have had great success with Jungle Parasite Clear.

I feed him Hikari Chiclid gold mini pellets and for a treat blood worms. We feed him once aday at dinner time but use to feed him twice a day when he was really small to get him to grow a bit faster. The poop isnt white though. Its red...does the colour matter with the disease youre talking about?
