at a pet shop i saw a jack demsey and it wasnt the normal color it was white with orange shiny scales. and i was wondering if that is common:confused:
 
There are gold jack dempseys, which are pale yellow I believe. It may have been that.
 
If they are in a tank with light colored gravel that can happen to a regular JD.

Which I have been told are Leucistic, not Xanthic... although through searching online I cannot find distinct differences in the terms and they seem to overlap in a few places...
