I forgot to water this plant for a week. Its all crumply and wilted. Its a hyssopifolia 'alba' white mexican hea her. The soil is wet cuz I just HEAVILY watered it.

It was on sale for 3$ so I can always just buy another but...

Not likely - many places that sell plants like this use soil less mix, so that when it dries, the roots die, and you end up having to buy another - it's a marketing scam - just get another one.

That just completely blew my mind. THANKS SO MUCH! I have a ficus that's thriving in this soilless mixture cuz I remember to water it. Would it be more harmful to repot it this time of year? Eventually I'm gonna forget so I don't want it to take the same fate.

This plant was doing so well at first. It was producing HUNDREDS of flowers then I wake up 1 morning and its dead... then again the flowers were kinda crappy. I guess this is just another excuse to give to my mom so I can buy MORE

First you leave your filter off for a week, now you neglect this plant for a week :screwy: Looks like you need to learn to manage your time a little better and keep up with your responsibilities.

^ I'm with him. I don't mean to play the "I told you so" card...But kid, tried to tell you not to go balls-out til you figured out what you were doing. Here we are - dying tree threads every week... We don't say these things frivolously. We are legitimately trying to help you.

Its an experiment. The plants were litterally a buck/pc. Its not like I'm getting up, walking to the trash, pulling out my wallet and throwing dollar bills one at a time in the trash. Its a learning experience thing. Kind of like Jersey. And ill have you know some of my plants are THRIVING. But some of them are also DIEING. I think its a matter of experimenting to see which plants do well and which don't. Nothing wrong with this.

Well yes and no. I didn't think it important at the time cuz either way it has the same effect. but now that I'm being asked the filter was not turned off, the prefilter sponge totally clogged and severed the flow. Anyways I knew at the time my bacteria would be fine. Well I was playing a hunch. And just so were clear I was not trolling, I was still totally serious just didnt think it necessary to give ALL the details.

The plants definatly toast....by the way its mexican heather.....the t is worn off the tag
