Is it Hexamita?

I did some searching around the site for this, but it didn't always help and I kept getting stuff for HITH. I am a little conserned about by festae. For about 2-3 days s/he has had about 1" worth of white 'stringy' poop hanging. S/he is eating great and is still hungry. S/he is about 2" and already showing some pretty good red on her/his fins. Am I just being too cautious, or should I be worried. If it is Hexamita, then can I treat it will something other than the metronidazole? Also, s/he is in a planted grow-out tank so it would be great if I could treat her there.

If you dont want to use metro. Try to add Garlic to his diet. Also add extra salt to the water. They sell medicated flakes if you can find.

what does the garlic do? and would it work if I put some minced garlic in a bag with some shrimp overnight?

Could it be an internal parasite because he is eating, but his stomach is starting to cave in??

any suggestions??
