I am looking for aquariums on Craigslist and got my messages a little mixed up and I sent the one asking if there were any accessories with the tank.

So I get the really RUDE unexpected reply: "ok I think your plain stupid or just cant read: the ad clearly states tank only no stand or accessories, Thanks, Jeff"

Who does that?!!!! I am interested in purchasing his aquarium and that is how I get treated? What is with people today?!
:angryfire

If he doesn't want my $400 then that is his loss I guess.
In my reply I was all calm and humble - but also a little sarcastic, like:
"No, I am not stupid - I had been reading many messages that day and I had been mixing them up"
"I am sorry for upsetting you"
"Sorry for mixing up the last message"

-----I wanted to go off on him to be real with you.

And if 'Jeff' is reading this....WHAT IS YOUR :swear: PROBLEM??!!!!!

Has anyone elso gotten unexpected rude relpies from people vendors/ppl selling their junk????????

I kinda understand where Jeff is coming from. People just dont take a minute and read the post fully. It gets annoying after a while answering questions when the answers are right in front of you. But the reply was brutal:eek:

Wrong forum I think, but either way..... Have you been on the other side? I bet he has gotten a ton of emails with "stupid" questions. It does get frustrating when alot of people seem not to read through things, then ask questions that have already been adressed......

Wow, all three of us posting at just about the same time. Hot Topic! lol.

There's no excuse for being rude. Spend your money elsewhere.

That man was probably taking out his frustration on you, but you don't want to deal with people like that. I think people should never write or email anything they would be ashamed to say in person to someone's face. (And who knows, maybe he is mean enough to say things like that in person.) Don't take it personally and keep searching. :-)

Good point. People get much bigger, er, stones, when they're behind a computer vs. face to face.

I was looking to buy a 300 gallon from some guy and i wrote to him and he said it was sold. if you sold something wouldnt you take it down that way people dont email you about it and then they find out they cant buy it
