I was watching River Monsters on TV just now. It was about Snakeheads invading North American waters. Then I got wondering. Is it legal to have a snakehead in an aquarium in Ontario Canada?

check in Canada Fish and Wildlife department web site!
I think snake head can't live in most of Canadian water because its too cold !

Nope, they're prohibited in Ontario.

i had the same question a while ago. They are banned! Dang!

I just got to shake my head when I read some of these govt. reports.

The repot actually makes the sankehead sounds like a perfect fish to raise for food consumption esp. when so many people seemed to be concerned about overpopulation and not enough food to feed the growing population.

one other thing about snakeheads: if there isn't enough food in it's environment, then it just turn or is naturally cannibalistic, so if large scale food production is used, you can actually use the snakehead itself as food for the snakehead stock.

Illegal in Ontario... Do'h!
