Hey guys I got a tig about 10 days back..
He is very active swims around 50% of the time..is this normal? From what I have heard they are not active.
He eats tilapia..I feed only few pieces I never feed till belly is full..
Water ammonia 0,nitrite 0
Tank has good aeration and current
Should I be worried?

If it feeds as it should and looks vibrant appearance-wise, I'd not read too much into the activity but I would continue close monitoring as this is rather unusual.

But then, 10 days is not much time and it may be still getting used to the newness of its home.

You said in your other thread, the tig is housed alone. So no one is bullying or bothering it.

Is the substrate sharp?

Wouldn’t worry about it.

Its living alone in a bare bottom tank..
Now its less active I guess it's just getting used to the tank
