Is it normal for these two to be friends

I wouldn't say its normal but I have seen similar fish together, I doubt they are friends but they tolerate each other. They are both predators, any fish that fits in eithers mouth will be eaten.

I’m pretty sure they like each other the pike chichlid acts as the sheriff in the tank and him and the dat constantly swim together almost like there a pair
