Is it normal for a silvers bottom jaw to slightly protrude the top jaw?

on some. mine's doesn't but i have seen plenty that do

From what I understand, the Arowana is a mouth brooder. The male's bottom jaw is lower than the top in order to accommodate the carrying of young in the mouth. I have also heard that you cannot sex silver Aro's. Obviously, this is in contrast to the above. But, this is what I know.

It didn't have this when young, it just recently got it once it passed 20"

yah sumtimes they get it, mines didnt have PLJ til 14"

it is not suppose to be normal for silvers to have plj. its just that somewhere along the line plj became very common just like DE. plj is a deformity.
