IS IT OK TO FEED AROWANAS PELLETS FOREVER? ANY CONSEQUENCES???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can't see why not, they would probably proved above minimum requirements. BUT, a varied diet is always best.

not a problem with only feeding pellets... pellets for the most part balance out the diet.....

I wish mine would eat only pellets. Pellets from a good brand are balanced and have everything the fish needs.

If you can get the Aro to only eat that...lol...mine is in love with shrimp, and every now and then he wants meat...chases everyone in the tank intill i drop 5-10 feeders in, then he'll get them and chill out for another week or so. So break it up I dont think anything of one thing is all good.

I feed a range of quality pellets and foodsticks from a reputated brand. By doing so I'm not missing out any of the neccassary minerals and vitamine.:)

Couldn’t persuade my aro to take pellets at first.

Started stuffing bits of cut up prawn with floating food sticks to keep the bits of prawn floating on the surface. Of course this had the added advantage of giving the aro all the nutrients it needs from the food sticks.

Sometimes the aro would separate the prawns from the food sticks if the sticks were not softened enough and spit them out.

After a few months though the aro will now eat any floating food sticks it finds in the water.
