Is it just a problem with the pesticides or can the worm itself make my fish sick?

Is it ok to feed my blood parrot a worm?

only if they are store bought!!! NEVER feed worms from your yard! they carry pestisides and other bad things that will kill your fish i have learned from experience trust me!
But I'm ok if I don't spray pesticides right?

There can be many things, like fertilzer, dog wast and many other things that are outside. if you got that worm from outside watch your fish for any un normal behavior
I personall would avoid those, you never know whats in them. You could feed them crickets from the store, I always enjoyed feeding those to my parrots.

Ive done it. But i take the worms and squeeze them out in the sink, to get all the dirt and crap out of them. just drag your fingers down one end of the worm to the other to clean them out.
I feed my fish worms from my yard whenever I find them. But I always clean them first. I've been doing it for the last couple years and haven't had a problem with it.
