is it possible for a 2 inch festae to breed with a mature black convict? im confused

as the title states i think my convict is trying to breed with me 2" festae and my convict is a 3" male or bigger just eyeballed it. what leads me to believe this is that my con has been digging this pit and the festae has dug a smaller pit a few inches away from it. they have been hanging out a lot and seemed to have been fighting. when ever the festae goes by the con i guess "her" colors deepens and become more apperent any other time "she" dont really have any colors. they also are sharing the same pit and now he is doing the mating ritual i guess you could say with the festae that he did with the female con he killed a while back. whats confusing about this is that i thought festaes are not mature till 4-5 inches this one is only 2 at most can someone shed some light on this please? ill upload some pics from my phone in a minute
 
I will but i thought that festaes aren't mature till 4 inches atleast and i guess i should add the flower pot in there then. What will they look like?

Hmm theres a lot of possiblitites of what the fry will turn out to look like. But id say they are going to look awesome. It depends on thr individual fish for its size of sexual maturity
 
My convict is really awesome when breeding has 3.5" the festae idk because she don't even have her colors yet plus she is still very small at 2" at most

I hope the eggs are fertile and see if its possible for them to breed at that size
