I have some 5-6 inch thinbars and some 1-2 inch thinbars. I was wondering if they can live in the same tank together without getting eaten.

Not getting eaten, but being chased I had a problem with. I had a small dat that would always run up being the filter overhang and hide and didn't know why until I saw him swimming out for a shrimp and another bigger dat put him in its place. They were Indo that is the only kind I have kept. I would suggest getting them similar size or growing out the little ones and power feeding to try and get them caught up on growth.

i never had a problem. the baby fishes always beat the crap out of the bigger ones. i guess i just have luck with those stuff. :)

Thank you Paul. So they never attempted to eat the smaller ones? Because it looks like the big guys can swallow them easily

dats always have the tendency to fight time to time....just give it some drift wood to hide in as far as i no the arnt canibals

You should be fine

ok thank you everyone. My question has been thoroughly answered. I was just nervous because after seeing that fish eat their young, I thought the dats would react in the same manner

I have heard of or experienced a tiger eating another tiger.

They should be ok together but, keep an eye on the small ntt's as they couldbe bullied (though not eaten) by the bigger Dats

Sorry, Meant to say never heard of tigers eating smaller tigers
