is it possible to over feed a ray?

I have seen that overfeeding can lead to "rectal-prolaps" in some cases. But i think that some stingrays are more exposed to this that others. I have experienced this myself with two different stingrays, and i also know that this is pretty common with angelfishes. So instead of filling their stomack to the max, i prefer to feed mine 2-3 times a day, with smaller amounts.

im feeding him prawns and muscles if the prawns went curled they would be about an inch muscles about the same, 2 prawns one muscle twice a day, only had him a day so this has only happened twice so far, is that enough? he's a decent shape at the moment probable doesnt need to add or loose weight at all

Young rays should be fed 2 or 3 SMALL meals per day. Feeding them small amounts not only makes water maintenance easier, it also helps rays acclimate to their new surroundings - it encourgaes them to dig through the substrate in search of more food.

Well-fed adult rays benifit from a "starve day" once or twice each fortnight. Also, it doesnt hurt to try and get your ray onto a wider range of foods. Krill, squid, pellets and earthworms all seem to work well with mine.
