Is it possible to sex these young Cons?

These are my first convict cichlids, and while I can sex adults, these young juvies I just tried to guess as best as possible.

What do you think?

Male?

Female?

The one that I think is male has been harassing the one I suspect to be female.

I got them today and it only took a couple hours for them to settle in.

Looks like hrp's...Yes they can be sexed, but not from the pics provided..(no offense).

They are both males, females have orange colored scales on their belly area.

at the lf the other day i saw a female con an inch or less with the brightest red belly i have ever seen on a con of that size.

Non taken bro haha, but is it just the crappy pic quality, or can you give me something specific that I need to try to take a shot of?

I was thinking they look a bit like HRP, they have a lot of blue iridescence at times.


Urban and Snail, I think you're right because I did see one with orange belly, and I pointed it out but I think the wrong one got bagged

both look male i have a few since birth and the females will show red at pretty small size

They both look male to me. The females will have an orange hue on their belly's as soon as they hit like 3/4 inch.
