is it possible ? two rbp only ?

I think it is better to do odd numbers, but saying that i kept a pair of RBPs from nickle sized untill they hit three inches with not much of problem. Then again that is only a small fraction of their life time.

i've had just 2 rbp's together for over 3 months now in a smaller tank and they are great... so far...they dont fight much unless there hungry, so i just keep them fat and hope there both there in the morning...ya never know...

yeah but maybe living w/ each other will bring them closer
Very much closer, one will eat the other. You don't need odd numbers just more than two, or only one. if there are more than two they are a bit afraid to go at it because they will get hit by the others, two will go at it then at least one will die. It might take a while but it will happen.

I kept 2 piranhas in the same tank for over a year with absolutely no problems. I've never even seen them go after one another. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I kinda think its a myth myself, I really dont think piranhas care if there is 2 or 10 fish in the tank. If they want to kill the other they will, no questions asked.

i used to keep piranhas but there where aways injuries during feeding frenzies and the injured fish always got killed sooner or later and once they got big it started getting to expensive to replace lost members of the school so i gave it up
