Would it be possible to keep a jack pike with snakeheads?
Just wondering i like pike been catching since i was lil kid but i want one as pet now i ca go cath jack and put in my tank dont no if they would fight though

This is one me and my brothers keep coming back to. both are greedy, are cannibalistic, both mean! i think they would co-exist, maybe not so peacefully. i think tropheus has it, keeping them the same size would probably work. if the snake head takes a dislike it might bite it in half(micropltes) but i dont think a pike would do the same. in teh long run a pike would rule, i havent heard of a 50lb snakehead, but theres some big mean pike out there!

live bait doesnt have to cost. he would eat rudd or roach in the wild, so why buy feeders when there are readily available. im sure the snakehead would take to them aswell, wink wink, nudge nudge

Cba catching roach lol they stink and there be to hard to catch the ponsy little ones i may aswell go buy a piranha see what happens

the temps will be a problem i think ,,i want a jack ive got a 8*3*3 do you think this is good enough for live

it would be alright for a while, get him small as possible. he will end up in a river at some point tho im sure, they can grow up to 6ft i believe. ive heard of juveniles being sold at fish shops sometimes. a jack would probably dislike being moved into a tank if it was caught, although, plenty of cover might help. im gunna do a perch tank i think, get a small tench, some gudgion(?) and some silver fish :D
