Is it possible, in cases of pop eye, for white marks to appear above the eyes?

I have a platy that has big white marks above both of his eyes and one of his eyes is popped out? Could it be an injury and he is actually fine? He is active, eating, acts healthy, and everything.

Water quality is good. 0 amonia and NO2, and 10 NO3. PH is 7.2.

It is possible that it is an injury. Pop eyes can be associated with injuries and poor water conditions. Normally, eyes pop out as a result of fluid buildup going on behind the eyes.
