Hi all, its been bugging me for many years, to late to do anything as i am no longer with the X.
I Once had 2 RBP one at around 8 inch and one 10 inch, also i had a 8 inch sailfin plec with them, they lived together for near a year with no problems then one day the Plec had vanished, and i mean vanished, no remains or bits of fish in the tank at all.
Well i have always put it down to my X as a bloke down the road wanted to buy it but i dudnt want to sell, so i have always thought she sodl it him on the sly.

Is it possible for a RBP tp eat the lot of a large plec, i have awlays though they are very boney, hard skulls etc.

Judst wondering also as i wouldnt mind getting some RBP again with a large plec or something for the algea.

i think you'd have seen some evidence of the remains. As far as my own personal experiences, my red bellies and rhom have always eaten either the belly or tail

my reds just killed the pleco, part of his head was gone and part of his tail. the entire thing usually wont disappear. I'd blame your ex. lol

Well the mistery is solved i reckon, she was a skitso anyway, thanks guys, just need to hire a hitman now

I've had a couple plEcos disappear always assumed they got eaten found one of their tails before but that's it
