okay i picked up three dats from a local LFS here in hawaii. im new to raising dats, been successful so far. okay my question is, is it possible for me to have pick up a wide bar that may have been mixed in with the bunch? out osf the 3, 2 look like indos that i have seen on a chart in one of these threads, and the other really looks like a wide bar. im really trying to snap pics but these little guys always play with me. if i try to snap a pic to show the bars they face the camera.
...or is a widebar and a indo basically the same. sorry for the newbie question!

they are different but with widebars un available its a indo i have seen a few indos that look like pulchers post a couple pics

Most likely your little guy is also an indo. There are some indos that have a single wide bar rather than the standard two bars on the body. Unlike widebars, where the body stripe slopes back towards the anal fin, the body stripe on these wide-barred indos tends to be more straight up and down. Still a nice pick up though. Don't be surprised if the stripes end up splitting over time.
