The only reason I ask is because I had a goldfish missing one eye. I thought it could have been the pleco so I took it out. Well I woke up this morning to find the same goldfish missing it's other eye. Both times it lost an eye was overnight. The poor thing is officially eyeless. :irked:

I had 3 dojos in the tank. I'm thinking it could have been one of the little buggers. I moved the dojos to my clown tank, but I want to make sure no one else is going to turn up eyeless. I have a BGK, angels, corys, and a couple of mollies in with the clowns. Should I chance it?

What other fish do you keep with goldfish aside from dojos?
What strain is this goldfish?
What is your goldfish's eye history?

I was keeping a 1.5" pleco, but took that out after the 1st missing eye. Also had 3 dojo loaches that I just removed to my clown tank after the 2nd missing eye.

Strains I have are Ryunkin, Oranda, Telescope, and Fantail.

The red cap oranda is the one that lost it's eyes. Prior to that it had been in my tank for about two months with no issues. I did not observe eye problems or any health issues in any of my goldfish in the time that I've had them, which has been about 3 or 4 months. I don't have any sharp ornaments in the tank although there is a plastic pipe coming up from each sponge filter. I'm going to double check that the top of the pipe isn't sharp.
