Is It Safe Yet!?

Alright i just picked up a peice of african rootwood at a petstore during a trip. So i have rinsed it! and soaked it for a couple hours! and now going to leave it soak for the night and morning!

so far it hasnt leeched any tannins! and is supposed to garunteed not to alter pH!

so will this peice of dritwood be safe by tomorrow?

if it hasn't leeched anything by morning it is good!
i soak mequite chips for my smoker and they turn the water BROWN inlike 5 min. so i think you'll be good here.

how do i know if they boiled this peice?
