So some may notice I've disappeared for awhile from the board. A month and a half ago my Angler died for no reason. He had no external signs of sickness but he began refusing to eat and when he did eat it was small doses. After he died I did a 20% water change just to make sure. I noticed my Moray began to act funny endlessly swimming and then he to refused to eat 3 days later he died. So I've left my tank fishless. All the inverts are in their unchanged so whatever killed my fish doesn't mind them any. The tank has been empty for a month and a half probably 2 more weeks till I add any fish as a precaution and I'm ready to add fish back into it. Is it safe? Water params are perfect and have been perfect the entire time, SG is between .021-.023 constantly and temp is at 80. Any advice on what to do? I want fish back in there is just so lonely looking into it. The tank has:

-Spider Decorater Crab
-Green Brittle Star
-Clean-Up Crew of Hermits and Snails

ouch...:( you add any meds?

your temperature and salinity are fine what is your ph and alkalinity at? Also is there live rock and when the fish were found dead were they half eaten or anything out of sort's with them when you found the body?

pH- 8.2
Akalinity was fine can't remember what it was exactly but ran out of testers for it last week.

As for them dying no physical signs on the Moray, the Angler had what seemed to be a whole next to his eye but he had been in their awhile while I was at work and was being picked at by hermits post mordem.

Alright do you think a 25% water change plus some live rock should be fine to start adding specimans again?

I would definitely do the water change and it wouldn't hurt to add some live rock however it may or may not add some ammonia into the system for a couple day's but may be what you need to happen. Then once that ammonia goes test everything and add a specimen.
