to treat a fish with ich if they have babies in the tank with them?
the dad of my pair of GBR's has it.
there isn't anywhere for me to move him by himself and just treat him.

they are in a 10 gallon right now with the fry.(who are still in the wriggler stage) the mom has no ich at all.

there is 1 6" bubble strip in the tank.
temp has always been kept at 82 degrees.
water parameters are pH 7.6, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates .5

they are the only fish in the tank.

i can put some aquarium salt in a jar and poke holes in the lid so it can slowly seep out into the tank and not dump a bunch of salt in all at once. (dissolved, obviously)

I wouldn't risk it with the babies in the tank. Just raise the temps and some salt should help clear things up. Make sure you have enough aeration though since warmer water holds less O2.

Add salt and up the temperature, there is no need for meds. Isolating the male for treatment will do nothing, the ich is throughout the tank, you need to treat the whole tank.
