Is it true that Male Synspilus Blue Eye, Female Yellow Eye?

Any comments on that?

It can be a guide..somewhat higher percentages of each,,but still no where near close enough to count on as fact.

My females eyes go from blue through a kind of yellow, to black when breeding.

My Males eyes stay blue- bluish all depending on mood and breeding status.

My Synspilums are with eggs at the moment. Before they laid both male and females eyes were blue. Then during courtship the females changed to yellow and now the male has followed too.

I have found with most of my vieja's that their eyes change colour, depending on their mood! Usually yellow when they are feeling aggressive towards other fish and myself!
