Is It Worth Buying A New Filter & A Uv Sterilizer For My Setup

i have a fluval osaka 260 with a fluval 305 external filter and ive seen another 305 filter knockin about on ebay for like a tenner atm
do you reckon its worth gettin?
would it improve water quality at all?

also ive seen uv sterilizers around on ebay an ive been tempted with them?
someone said it can reduce stress on new fish or somethin?
what do they actually do and are they worth gettin ?

everyone on here will most likely tell you more filtration is better.. If you are asking if it is necessary then you would have to post all your stats, tank size, stock etc. If it were me and the filter was cheap i would do it couldn't hurt.

I would go for it the more filtration and water turnover the better just make sure you clean these item's extremely well before you add to saltwater tank. Also if there from ebay make sure the seller takes paypal to avoid being scammed.

YES! you should use a UV sterilizer. it helps keep your fishes healthy.

UV is a great addition to kill parasites, clean the water kill single celled algaes and keep the tank clear. But make sure you get the proper pump for it and tubing.
