Well, i live in a country where native reptiles are illegal to keep.. Now i have an opportunity to get a ball python (Albino Morph) which supposedly has been brought into the country legally with papers and has a micro chip..

The problem is, the guy wants about 540USD for the sake..

It's about 12" long, I'm currently waiting for pics of it..

Is it worth paying that much for a ball python ????

There is also an option to get a green iggy for about 200usd, problem is i don't think i have to the space to make a big enclosure for him..

Not sure what to do....

Its worth it until it isn't. What people say to you online shouldn't really mean a thing to you in regards to what you value. If you think a snake is worth a certain amount of money then that is what it is worth.

If you really want that snake, you'll pay whatever you need to get it. If you don't really want it, you'll probably go online and ask people if you should bother to buy it.

Can you not keep anything native either? Some of the pictures you post make every one here a little envious.

I would do it. That's only because I have wanted an albino for quite some time. When I went to the reptile show over here they were selling for like $400 so $540 doesn't seem too bad for one that was imported legally into your country.

Well almost everything is illegal over here.. I would be very content if i could keep the native stuff..

The forest department is really backwards..they don't know the difference between a sand boa and a russels viper and they think iggys are montiors..

I'm waiting for pics to see if its an albino and if its in good condition..

its not the worst price ive seen for an albino ball, but like it was stated earlier, what is it worth to you? Id say its a decent price consdiering what the little guy has been through to get to wherever you are.
