I can get a older 135 gallon tank for $135.00 it was built without a center support & has a small crack in the bottom that has been repaired with glass & silicone. It holds water but will it hold up in the long run  THANX.

Doesn't sound like it's worth it for a damaged tank w/o tank support. You may be able to find better deals on craigslist. Just my opinion..

I'd avoid it for fish purposes, but it could be a great deal if you are into reptiles. Similar deal happened to me last year. I got a free 225 that I had to repair. I did my best, but no way in hell that thing will hold water. It still sits empty in my storage foom.

Cracks NO GOOD!!! Leaks ok I can fix it :) Cracks!!! Oh man I fixed one of those!!!

It too was on the bottom :) there is only one way to fix a cracked glass tank that you will keep in your house :) Replace that piece of glass! That is the only WAY!!! Silicone doesn't stop the crack from spreading :)

Just think about 135.00 really costing you 8-15 times that much to replace your floor before mold sets in :)

If you want to see if it is worth it price the bottm piece of glass :) I think you will find that you could almost buy a new 135 for that much after the initial price :)

Crakced tank=135.00 = bottom piece of glass say 100.00 minimum =235.00.. K now say you want the bottome drilled lets add 10.00 minimum per hole..Oh and then man hours =what ever your time is worth to you :) And silicone and razorblades and possibly accoutning for the er trip :) I know this is allot but trust me :) I have been to the ER during a tank repair :)

with 2 holes...=255.00.. new 135 or even 125 as the difference is 2" in height. 325.00 at lfs brand new no scrathces no cracks and with overflows :)

If you want it then take a 1/4" thick piece of window glass cut to fit the inside of the tank (closely) and simply silicone it to the inside of the bottom of the tank. This will seal the leak and strenghten the bottom. It is a pretty cheap and very effective fix if you spread the silicone evenly.
