Is Lava Rock OK in a PBass Tank??????????

Does anyone here know anything about lava rock? Is it ok with peacocks? Does it mess up water quality or anything like that?????

Lava rock won't cause a parameter problem for Pbass. However, these are such strong swimmers and strikers that the rough texture of lavarock will increase the chance of the fish harming themselves against its rough sharp surfaces.

Yup I definatly agree.

If you want rocks in your tank go for river pebbles(round smooth ones) so if the pbass decides to freak it wouldn't get hurt on the pebbles.

yea...odd/zoo are 100% correct...even resin made tank ornaments scratch fish..lava rock would be terrible..if a fish scratched on it!

yea lavarock is a bad idea, since they are so agressive and lavarock is such a abbrasive surface it will scratch itself up especially when feeding
