He'll be alright. Being on a diet or not, makes no difference. The main goal that your suppose to look for when power feeding your fish is to make him thick and fat. The thickness of the flowerhorn will determine how well you took care of the fish(of course you don't want it too fat that it just looks like....ehh...). It's one of the main reason with power feeding flowerhorns, to get it to grow thick and fat. You don't want a slim and skinny flowerhorn. Your on the right track, no worry about it. Just don't feed it to the point that your fish will burst itself.

IMO power feeding is not really advisable, it will cause your fish bloated or else hexa in no time.... otherwise dont put a mirror while your FH is full.

The only reason I would figure that your fish is bloated because you feed it to the point that it is about to burst. When power feeding, always give it at least 1 day a week to digest everything else inside. As far as hexa, yeah that disease is even worst than duck lips. From what I was told with hexa, this comes when your feeding too much freeze dried food. Also foods that aren't clean and contains diseases. Or your not giving it proper water change to reduce those white worms floating around your tank if your feeding too much.
One way to reduce the chance of getting hexa is if when you start to recognize small white worms floating around in your tank. Treat it immediately by bumping your tank temp up to 83-86 degrees and add aquarium salt. It would start killing them off right away. The day after, you vacuum or gravels or whatever and do a 50% water change for 3 times in 1 week. Those worms aren't harmful to your fish, but if it managed to end up inside your fish. Then it gets dangerous...

Your fish looks contsipated, I would recommend adding epsom salt to the tank water as a purgative. If he's still eating, you can also pre-soak your pellets in a 3% epsom salt solution to assit in the purging, and reduce hex/spiro pathogens.

Also, Hexamita/Spironucleus is a flagellate pathogen, and has nothing to do with the little white worms seen in tanks when they are overfed, those worms (planaria) are harmless. The most effective way to remove them from your tank is via water changes, and reduced feeding, as those worms are caused by excessive nutrients, which in turn they feed off of.

I also concur with mangingisda - power feeding is never a good idea, fish do not need to be fed extreme quantities to reach their full potential. This is just another one of those stupid ideas that gets bantered about on the internet by people who are typically fairly ignorant about feeding & raising fish.

X2

Power feeding is only advisable with fry.

Try feeding him some peas.

Thank you everyone for the advice. In regards to power feeding...he's my pet. I just want him fat, dumb, and happy...not some beast. I will try the epsom salts and layoff feeding for a bit. So far, no worms or anything of the sort. I do wc's every week if not sooner. He has been eating alot of veggie rounds...mainly spirulina and kelp. I thought that wold help him poop.
